DigiKompASS Landau

DigiKompASS - "Making digital competencies visible and increasing them for all" - is a university-wide project to promote digitization in university teaching. It aims to sustainably increase the digital competencies of students and teachers. The University of Koblenz-Landau has received a funding commitment totaling 4.3 million euros for both campuses from the Innovation in Higher Education Foundation[Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre]. The foundation, which is funded by the federal and state governments, has been supporting the joint project for three years since August 2021.

First, the digital competencies of the individual university stakeholders are to be analyzed in order to then create systematic opportunities for competence development. In Landau, this is supported via a competence network (central project), in which the e-learning unit, the University Didactics Office [(Hochschuldidaktische Arbeitsstelle (HDA)], and the Method Center[Methodenzentrum] are integrated. The network supports four sub-projects: Digital Lab - lab practical exercises in chemistry, support program "Digital & Hybrid Teaching", Art - creativity promotion at a distance as well as e-exams - video vignette-based diagnosis.

The long-term goal of the project is to create resilient structures for continuous innovation in university teaching. Further information on the projects in Landau:
